The BJP held a protest march against the Delhi government from the Vidhansabha site Shahidi Park to the Delhi Secretariat due to the city’s water issue.

The nation’s capital, Delhi, is going through extreme heat waves and a water scarcity. Meanwhile, water is an important political topic in Delhi at the moment. Constantly trying to corner the Kejriwal government is the BJP. The Delhi administration faced protests by the BJP with a march from Shahidi Park, the location of the Vidhan Sabha, to the Delhi Secretariat over the city’s water crisis. In the midst of this, the BJP yelled anti-Kerjiwal slogans.

Bansuri Swaraj, the BJP contender for the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, stated, “The people of Delhi are crying out for water in this sweltering heat.” This is a created crisis by the government of the Aam Aadmi Party. The Jal Board is losing 73 thousand crores, in contrast to its profit of 600 crores in 2013. Delhi is now hungry for every drop of water, despite the government’s repeated promises of free water.

The chief minister of Delhi stated on Twitter that “there is a nationwide water and electricity crisis as a result of this time’s unprecedented heatwave.” Delhi’s peak electricity demand for the year prior was 7438 MW. By contrary, the peak demand this year was 8302 MW. However, in contrast to other states, Delhi’s electricity situation is under control and there aren’t any outages.

“But in this scorching heat, the demand for water has increased a lot,” Kejriwal continued in his writing. Additionally, Delhi no more receives as much water from neighboring states. This suggests a significant increase in demand and a decrease in supply. Together, we must find an answer to this. I notice that the allies of the BJP are staging demonstrations against us. This won’t make the problem go away. I humbly ask everyone to join me in providing help to the people of Delhi, rather than engaging in political discourse at this time. The people of Delhi will be very thankful to the BJP for taking this move if it manages to speak with the governments of UP and Haryana and secure some water for the city for a month.
