All district magistrates have been asked to exercise particular caution, security at all levels, and traffic control in light of the heavy rain alert.
Late in the evening, the weather in Uttarakhand shifted, and the state capital, Dehradun, saw a lot of rain. Following the rain, waterlogging also occurred in a lot of places at the same time.
On the other hand, the State Emergency Operations Center has notified all of the District Magistrates due to the warning of heavy to extremely heavy rains in the districts today. The Center has released a warning banning traveler movement in the upper Himalayan regions.
Extra Anand Swaroop, the Chief Executive Officer (Administration) of the State Disaster Management Authority, acknowledged and refuted the widely shared video on social media. He alerted the public to the fact that an outdated video of the Raini tragedy on February 7, 2021, is circulating quickly on social media and deceiving people. There is no connection between this monsoon season and the popular video. The water level of the Gauri Ganga is currently 0.20 meters above the danger mark, whereas only the Ramganga river in Pithoragarh is 0.10 meters above it. However, the pattern is currently falling. All of the state’s rivers have water levels below the danger mark, with the exception of these rivers.
