9 August 2023 ( New Delhi ) : Union Minister Smriti Irani slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, branding him a “misogynist man” for allegedly blowing a flying kiss to Parliament, which houses female members; she claims the move lacks decorum.”I object to something,” stated Union Minister and BJP MP Smriti Irani. Before leaving, the person who was given the opportunity to speak before me demonstrated decency. Only a misogynistic man can give a flying kiss to a Parliament that includes female members. Such despicable behavior had never before been witnessed in the country’s Parliament.
Meanwhile, NDA women MPs wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, requesting harsh action against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making an inappropriate gesture at BJP MP Smriti Irani and behaving inappropriately in the House.
“This is the first time we have seen such behavior from an MP in the House,” Union Minister and BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje said of Rahul Gandhi. He made a flying kiss motion at female MPs in the House….It’s not acceptable. We have requested that the Speaker take action against him.” Smriti Irani lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday.
