In the most recent instance of Rohit being his clever self during a media appearance, the Indian captain gave a humorous remark while discussing India’s explosive match against Pakistan. Before the major competitions, Rohit was asked to select the toughest bowler on Babar Azam’s Pakistan team while speaking to media at an event in the United States.
Rohit avoids ‘big controversy’
Many had anticipated Rohit to select either superstar Shaheen Shah Afridi or speedy Haris Rauf, but the Indian captain responded cheekily in the run-up to the highly anticipated Indo-Pak match. The Pakistani team is doing well. The name Mai Kisi is not long. Bada bada controversy hota hai (All Pakistan’s quick bowlers are excellent. I’m not picking anyone, I promise. It sparks a significant dispute). If I will take one player’s name, the second will feel bad. If I will take the second player’s name, then the third one will feel bad. I think all of them are good,” the Indian skipper told reporters.
Ritika Sajdeh, the husband of Rohit, was also present at the incident, and she finds it difficult to control her laughter. The astounding response from Rohit was captured on camera, and the video quickly went viral on social media among game enthusiasts. At the 2022 World Cup, the Virat Kohli-led Team India triumphed over Pakistan in a nail-biting final ball contest under Rohit’s direction.
