Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold summit-level discussions in Moscow tomorrow. The visit has the Kremlin giddy with excitement. The Kremlin has poked fun at Western countries while yet portraying this visit as highly important.
At President Putin’s invitation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Moscow on July 8 and 9 for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. Prime Minister Modi’s trip to Russia will be his first since Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. According to the Kremlin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to undertake a comprehensive and crucial visit to Moscow.
The Ministry of External Affairs announced the high-level visit on Thursday, saying the two leaders will review the whole range of complex relations between the two nations and share views on current regional and global issues of mutual concern. The visit is scheduled to begin on Monday in New Delhi.
Prime Minister Modi’s schedule in Moscow will be full, and the two leaders will be able to have conversations informally, according to Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov, who made the announcement on Saturday in an interview with Russia’s state-run VGTRK television channel. He declared, “There will be a lot on the agenda, if not a lot of activity. Although this is an official visit, we hope the two leaders may have some unofficial talks as well.”
Russian-Indian relations are at the level of a strategic partnership, said Dmitry Peskov. He declared that negotiations by delegations as well as in-person meetings will take place at the Kremlin. According to the official news agency TASS, he stated, “We are expecting a very important and full-fledged visit, which is very important for Russian-Indian relations.” Peskov additionally stated that Prime Minister Modi’s impending visit to Russia is being watched by the West with jealousy. They are observing it intently since they are jealous. They place a lot of weight on it because of their close scrutiny.
