The wait is finally over. On Tuesday, monsoon moved into Uttar Pradesh from Lalitpur. Good rain is expected over the next two to three days, based on meteorologists.
The southwest monsoon is still moving ahead. Following this pattern, it progressed to other regions in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, south-eastern Rajasthan, the extreme south of western Uttar Pradesh, and into Uttar Pradesh from Lalitpur. Senior meteorologists Atul Kumar Singh and Mohammad Danish predict that the state would see good rain starting tomorrow. The state as a whole will have reprieve from the severe heatwave when the monsoon arrives.
Prior to this, pre-monsoon rain fell on Monday over the majority of Uttar Pradesh’s districts, including the state capital Lucknow. The weather changed nice after that. Lucknow received 7.1 mm on Monday.
The mercury level was also impacted by the rain. In certain locations, temperatures fell below 35 degrees. In Najibabad, the daytime temperature was reported to be 33 degrees Celsius. It was between 40 and 42 degrees at Sultanpur, Kanpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Basti, Jhansi, and Etawah. It stayed below 40 in the remaining locations. It is expected that the mercury level will continue to fluctuate slightly.
The heat broke every previous record in May and June. Numerous districts, including as Jhansi, Prayagraj, and Kanpur, had temperature over 50 degrees Celsius. Even though there was drizzle in certain state districts, the most of the time the state endured extreme temperatures.
