To attend the G7 conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to depart for Italy today. In his third term, Prime Minister Modi is taking his first trip outdoors. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, India’s Foreign Secretary, gave this information. Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also have bilateral discussions in Italy.
There’s a possibility that US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will cross hands during the G7 gathering in Italy. This information was given by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Wednesday.
When departing from America for Italy, Jake Sullivan made these comments in an interview with the media. “He (Biden) hopes that Prime Minister Modi will also come to Italy,” Sullivan stated. Although Modi’s visit is not yet officially announced by India, we hope that the two presidents can get together. The meeting’s format remains unknown due to the hectic schedule.
According to India’s Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra, Prime Minister Modi will meet separately with Georgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, and plans for a meeting with other world leaders are being discussed.
In addition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a special invitee, the presidents of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom will also be present at the G7 summit, which US President Joe Biden landed in Italy on Wednesday night to attend.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, will meet with Biden on Thursday. A bilateral security pact for Ukraine will be signed by the two leaders during this time, “making clear that our (US) support will continue long into the future.” The G-7 meeting is expected to be centered around the conflict in the Middle East and Ukraine, except from a few new, urgent problems including supply chains, artificial intelligence, and climate change.
This is the 50th G7 summit, taking place in Italy. India has been invited as a guest member by Italy, and it will start on June 14.
