The British general election date has been set. In Britain, general elections are set to be held on July 4. This was announced by PM Rishi Sunak during Wednesday’s cabinet meeting. In actuality, on Wednesday, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held a cabinet meeting. It was thought that in such a case, the cabinet meeting may come to a decision to call early elections, with general elections perhaps taking place in July. Now that this theory has been verified, the PM has suggested that Parliament be dissolved.
General elections were anticipated to be held soon after the news of the cabinet meeting, however PM Sunak recently said in the British Parliament that they will take place in the second half of this year. Along with some positive news for the British economy, Sunak stated in Parliament that the rate of inflation will drop to 2.3 percent. In the previous three years, this is the lowest.
