Manoj Bajpayee had a good friendship with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The two collaborated on Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya film.

Manoj Bajpayee has always spoken openly about his difficulties and the discrimination that outsiders suffer in the industry. He has also spoken up about the hardships his late buddy Sushant Singh Rajput had in the film industry. During a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Manoj discussed how Sushant was affected by unfavorable media attention.

While recalling his encounter with Sushant, the Bhaiyya Ji actor described how the latter struggled to deal with individuals in positions of power. Manoj stated that “Sushant was very vulnerable when it came to blind articles.” He was a very nice human being, and only a good person can be impacted by such things. He would often come to me and ask how to cope with these things; I used to urge him not to take them seriously because I had been in similar situations previously, and I am still suffering the brunt of such publications against me.

Manoj gives Sushant some counsel.

He went on to say, “I told him to deal with people whose films are successful and who are powerful. I would handle such folks differently. I would inform my friends to warn them that I would come and beat them up. What matters is that the message gets delivered. Sushant used to chuckle and remark, “Sir, only you can do that; I can’t. However, he was concerned by the blind articles. He was an extremely compassionate and clever individual.”

Manoj is now prepping for his crime action thriller, Bhaiyya Ji. The film’s trailer depicts him in an action avatar. This time, the actor known for his unorthodox roles tried his hand at a commercial action film.Bhaiyya Ji comes out on May 24.
