Only the identities of eight people killed in the tragedy, which occurred late Friday night near Bhalubang, are known as of yet.
According to authorities, at least 12 persons were killed in a traffic accident in the Dang District in mid-western Nepal, including two Indian nationals.

“The passenger bus was on its way to Kathmandu from Banke’s Nepalgunj when it went off the bridge and into the Rapti River.” We have only determined the identities of eight deceased passengers, two of whom are Indians,” Ujjwal Bahadur Singh, Chief Inspector of Police at the Area Police Office in Bhalubang, told ANI over the phone.
According to the authorities, an additional 22 passengers were injured in the bus collision.
Yogendra Ram (67), of Malahi, Bihar, and Mune (31) of Uttar Pradesh have been identified as the deceased Indians.
“The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Lamahi Hospital for postmortem,” remarked the Chief Inspector.
