Updates on the vibrant Gujarat Global Summit: In Gujarat, Gautam Adani declared he would be investing more than ₹2 lakh crore. One lakh employment will be created by the investment.

On Wednesday, multibillionaire Gautam Adani revealed that he will be investing over ₹2 lakh crore in Gujarat, mostly for the construction of a green energy facility that would be visible from space. At the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, the president of Adani Group stated that one lakh jobs will be created by the investment.

Adani said that the Adani Group has already invested ₹50,000 crore of the ₹55,000 crore pledged at the previous summit.

According to Adani, the apples-to-airport firm is currently developing a green energy complex in Kutch that will be visible from space and have a 30 gigawatt capacity distributed over 25 square km.

“Since 2014, India has achieved an 185% growth in GDP and a 165% growth in per capita income, which is unprecedented given the geopolitical and pandemic-related challenges,” Adani added at the summit, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other industrialists, including Reliance Industries’ Mukesh Ambani.

Reliance will establish a carbon fiber factory in Gujarat.

Mukesh Ambani, speaking on the occasion, stated that his business, Reliance Industries, will establish India’s first and world-class carbon fiber facility in Hazira. Ambani went on to say that Reliance was, is, and always will be a Gujarati firm.

“In the last ten years, Reliance has invested over USD 150 billion (12 lakh crore) in creating world-class assets and capacities across India.” “More than one-third of this has been invested in Gujarat alone,” Ambani remarked.

According to the Reliance CEO, the company will help make Gujarat a global leader in green growth. “We will help Gujarat’s target to meet half of its energy needs through renewables by 2030,” the minister stated.

Over 5,000 acres in Jamnagar, Reliance began construction on the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex. This would create a big number of green employment and enable the manufacturing of green products and materials, making the state the largest exporter of such items, he said, adding that the company is ready to roll this out in the second half of 2024.
