The Allahabad High Court has stated that it will consider the case for the hiring of a court-monitored advocate commissioner to survey the Shahi Eidgah premises in Mathura.
On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court said that it would consider an application to appoint an attorney commissioner under court supervision to conduct an initial inspection of the Shahi Eidgah premises, which are next to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura, before adjudicating the question of maintainability.
On December 18, the high court will consider the application on the appointment of the advocate commission.
“Our application no. 130 ‘Ga’ was granted on Thursday and on December 18, court will hear the parties concerned and will decide the procedures of commission like how many advocates will be appointed commissioner and time frame of the survey will be decided on next date,” stated Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer that represent the Hindu side.
On November 16, the Hindu side filed a plea to appoint an advocate commissioner under court supervision, and the high court had stated that it would reserve its decision.
The plaintiff has primarily asked for a ruling that the deity Lord Shri Krishna Virajman is the rightful owner of the land in question, which is the location of the Shahi Eidgah Mosque, in each of the 18 original claims that are currently pending in the high court.
It has also requested that the defendant be ordered to remove the mosque.
According to the lawsuits, the Shahi Eidgah Mosque was built under Emperor Aurangzeb’s orders.
On May 26, the Allahabad High Court referred to itself all the proceedings pending before the Mathura Court seeking various reliefs relating to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah Mosque controversy.
