A Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) jawan was murdered and another was injured on Wednesday after Maoists ambushed a team of security personnel and set off a bomb in Narayanpur district.
According to police, a Border Security Force (BSF) head constable was killed in an IED device set off by Maoists in Bastar’s Kanker district on Thursday.
According to a Bastar police statement, the event occurred in Sadaktola hamlet, which is under the jurisdiction of the Partapur police station.
“A joint team of the BSF and the district police force was patrolling when the explosion occurred.” Head constable Akhilesh Rai (45) was injured in an explosion set off by Maoists. “He received preliminary treatment and was referred to Pakhanjur for further medical care, but he died as a result of his injuries,” a senior police officer said.
According to investigators, Rai was born in Uttar Pradesh.
