Karisma Kapoor will make her 14th appearance on the iconic singing competition show Indian Idol. In the upcoming episode, the actress will be shown sobbing after a performance honoring her late grandfather, the famous Raj Kapoor. This weekend, participants will pay tribute to Bollywood’s Kapoor family.

Karisma Kapoor can be seen sobbing in the ad for the new episode as contestant Mahima sings the legendary song, Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan. Mahima’s performance, dressed as the renowned Raj Kapoor’s character Raju from the 1970 film Mera Naam Joker, would also leave judge Shreya Ghoshal in tears.

Kapoor can be seen becoming overwhelmed and struggling to hold back her tears as the promo progresses. “We are ye gaane ke jo shabd hain,” she says. This wonderful individual is responsible for jo bhi hum hain aaj.”

Soon after Sony TV uploaded the video, people flooded the comment section with sincere condolences and adoration for Karisma Kapoor. One admirer said, “Beautiful Lady in the House.” “What a stage,” another user said. Karishma and Shreya are both lovely ladies.”

“Heart touching video,” wrote the third.

Concerning Mera Naam Joker

Mera Naam Joker was released in 1970 and starred Raj Kapoor, Simi Garewa, Rishi Kapoor, Dharmendra, and others. The love drama, produced by RK Films, is the second and final Indian film to feature two intermissions. It is one of Indian cinema’s longest films. Mera Naam Joker took six years to complete, and Raj Kapoor is claimed to have invested his personal money in the picture. The movie won multiple accolades, however, failed miserably at the box office.
