Tiger 3, the much awaited picture, was released in theaters on Sunday. The fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. Salman Khan fans had been anticipating the film for a long time and were finally able to see it in theaters.
A video of fans igniting firecrackers inside a theatre upon Salman Khan’s arrival is doing the rounds on the internet in this episode. The viral video depicts supporters hooting and whistling as the star enters Tiger 3. Though the excitement of the fans is understandable, the occurrence has created severe safety concerns.
Meanwhile, Tiger 3 had the largest Diwali opening in Bollywood. According to Sacnilk’s first estimations, the film garnered Rs 40 crore on Day 1 and Rs 44.50 crore on Day 2. The film had an overall occupancy rating of 41.32 percent, with the greatest occupancy rate of 46.18 percent recorded during night screenings.
Salman Khan’s film, on the other hand, fell short of Shah Rukh Khan Pathaan’s Day 1 take. Pathaan, for those who are unaware, resurrected Bollywood after a string of box office disasters. Pathaan has reached Rs 55 crore on its first day, making it the first Hindi film to cross Rs 100 crore internationally.
In terms of Salman Khan’s work, he is now the presenter of Bigg Boss 17. He was most recently seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which was produced by his own company, SK Films. Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, starred in Phone Bhoot alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
