Even though Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan have put their differences behind them, there appears to be ongoing tension. In an interview with prominent chat show host Karan Johar, Sunny claimed that actor Shah Rukh Khan had turned him into a commodity.’
When KJo asked him to list the positive and negative aspects of Shah Rukh Khan, he responded as follows. Sunny responded to SRK’s positive traits by stating that he is ‘hardworking.’
“What I don’t like about Shah Rukh Khan is making the actors a commodity,” he said, expressing his dislike of the actor’s attitude to the film industry. Karan was shocked by Sunny’s response and cried out, “Oh God!”
SRK and Sunny’s notorious feud
In an interview with renowned journalist Rajat Sharma for Aap Ki Adalat, Sunny Deol called Shah Rukh Khan’s quarrel with him “childish.” He’d remarked, “You get to a point in life where you can let go of old grudges and acknowledge that the things that happened in the past were just small-minded and immature actions.”
After Darr, the two supposedly didn’t talk for sixteen years. Sunny, though, has said that it wasn’t intentional. It’s not that I didn’t speak; rather, I just avoid social situations and cut myself off. He had stated, “So we never met, toh baat karne ki baat he nahi hai,” during Aap Ki Adalat.
For those who don’t know, Sunny and SRK had a tense working relationship for many years following their collaboration on the movie Darr. Despite being the main character, Sunny reportedly thought that Shah Rukh Khan’s character stole the show and he didn’t have the significant role he had anticipated.
But following the success of “Gadar 2,” a fan questioned Shah Rukh Khan about the film during a #AskSRK session. SRK had praised Sunny profusely, saying, “Yeah, loved it!!”
