
The 69th National Film Awards honorees were celebrated on Tuesday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Celebrities like Devi Sri Prasad, Allu Arjun, SS Rajamouli, R Madhavan, and many more were making a big impression in the South.
Pushpa: The Rise, RRR, and Rocketry: The Nambi Effect became victorious from the esteemed award event. Arjun, who starred in Pushpa: The Rise and is now the first Telugu actor to receive a Best Actor National prize, is quite fond of the prize. Devi Sri Prasad, who composed the soundtrack for his movie, also took home the National Award for Best soundtrack Director.

Several National Awards have been won by SS Rajamouli’s film RRR, which earlier this year earned an Academy Award for Best Original Song. In addition to taking home the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment Award, MM Keeravani, the composer for RRR’s soundtrack, was also recognised with awards for Best Music Direction, Best Male Playback Singer, Best Choreography, and Best Male Playback Singer. The RRR crew has also won Best Stunt Choreography and Best Special Effects honours. However, it was for his song Dham Dham Dham from the movie Konda Polam that the film lyrics writer Chandrabose took home the National Prize.

Vishnu Mohan, a Malayalam filmmaker, took home the Best Debut Film Director trophy for Mepaddiyan. The Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation prize went to Aavasavyuham. Nayattu, directed by Martin Prakkat, took home the Best Screenplay prize. Home took home the Best Malayalam film title in the regional competition.

Kadaisi Vivasayi, representing the Tamil film industry, took home the Best Tamil Film prize, while Shreya Ghoshal, who starred in the film Iravin Nizhal, received Best Female Playback singer. In Kannada, Charlie 777, a touching film directed by Prem Rakshith, took home the Best Kannada Film honour.
Bollywood celebrities were also spotted at the esteemed award ceremony’s location. At the National Award ceremony, actors like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, and others were spotted.
