‘MISSION RANIGANJ’: R MADHAVAN’S TWEET
The Akshay Kumar-starring film “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” has won over actor R Madhavan. After watching this tale of an unknown hero, the actor was deeply affected. He spoke about the movie on X on Friday, October 13, and recommended that everyone see it in a theater.
R Madhavan shared a message on X in Hindi complimenting the movie that said, “Yesterday I went to the theater and saw this picture. What a beautiful image, you guys. What kind of heroes exist in our nation that we are unaware of? What are you people doing? This opportunity won’t come up again. If you find out afterwards that Ihave not told you. (sic)”
“Thank you so much, Maddy, for praising and loving the film,” tweeted Akshay Kumar in response to R Madhavan’s tweet.
It’s interesting to note that the biopic by C Sankaran Nair will shortly feature screen time for both Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan.

The movie “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue,” which was directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, was released on October 6 and has made little over Rs 18 crore in India in a week. In this movie, which is based on a true story, Akshay plays Jaswant Singh Gill, an IIT Dhanbad mining engineer who saved 65 stranded miners from one of Raniganj’s flooded coalfields in 1989. Among the other actors who appear in it are Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ravi Kishan, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, and Ravi Kishan.
