26 August 2023 ( New Delhi ) : Madurai, On the 17th, a train bringing pilgrims arrived in Tamil Nadu from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Sami visited the Padmanabhaswamy temple in Nagercoil yesterday for darshan. All of the followers have now returned to Madurai after finishing this.
The distance between the train and the Madurai train station was one kilometer. It was suspended at the far-off region of the Madurai Bodi Line. A railroad coach in this instance unexpectedly caught fire. When it started fire, it quickly spread to nearby compartments. In the train’s last special reserved compartment, there were 90 passengers present at the time. After hearing about the fire, more than 60 people leaped down and fled.
However, it was stated that this fire disaster claimed the lives of 2 people. Later, there were five fatalities. Many people suffered injuries. The smoke that followed the fire caused some people to pass out.
They were all brought to the Madurai Government Hospital for medical attention. According to rumors, people who perished in the fire tragedy traveled to Uttar Pradesh to see Sami. At this point, nine people had died.
How did the fire start in the passenger rail car? There has been shocking information revealed. At 3:47 a.m., the train from Punalur arrived at Madurai. In this situation, the railway department notified the fire department of the incident at 5.20 a.m. At 5.45 a.m., fire engines arrived on the scene. Firefighters fought to extinguish the blaze. The train fire had been totally extinguished by 7.15 a.m.
Women made up three of those who perished in the fire. Five are guys. One is unrecognizably altered. The train compartment’s door was shut when the fire started. As a result, many people were unable to flee right away.
Some of the followers in the railway car attempted to make coffee in the morning by using a gas cylinder to cook. The cylinder suddenly burst into flames. As a result, the worshippers who came for darshan screamed and fled off of the train. Some, it is claimed, might be stranded inside the train car. As a result, the area appeared to be in a state of conflict. Family members of the deceased are sobbing.
