Sushmita remarked in an interview with Zoom, “I think it’s wonderful that those opinions came to me and I could define ‘gold digger’. When you get an insult, it is still an insult to me. So, it escaped via the window. There are some things that are private matters. It’s not anyone’s business, but I enjoy the phrase “not your business” since it’s so great. I am, fyi, as single as they come. That is also none of your concern and is NYOB. Putting things out there is always great, very much single.

Additionally, she said, “When I finally made a lengthy comment about it, many members of my fraternity appeared in interviews—which, to be honest, I thought was rather weird anyway—saying, ‘We never anticipated Sushmita Sen to even respond to that. She wasn’t even required. The decision to answer is entirely up to me; if I don’t feel like responding, I won’t.
