3 August 2023 ( New Delhi) : On July 21, the Varanasi District Judge had ordered an ASI survey of Gyanvapi. The Muslim side first challenged the decision of the ASI survey in the Supreme Court and then in the High Court. Now the High Court has dismissed this petition. he decision of the High Court has given a big blow to the Muslim side. He hoped that after his arguments, the High Court would not uphold the order of the District Judge of Varanasi in this matter. Along with this, ASI survey of Gyanvapi will not be done. However, the High Court has refused to ban the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Actually, District Judge AK Vishwesh had ordered a scientific survey of the mosque premises on Friday. The ASI had to submit the report of the survey to the district court of Varanasi by August 4.Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the High Court has agreed with our arguments, hence upheld the decision of the district court. We will do our work according to the law if the Anjuman arrangements go to the Supreme Court against the order of the High Court.
