An enormous trade and infrastructure project connecting India, the Middle East, and Europe was presented on Saturday separately by India, Saudi Arabia, the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Italy, and the United States. As part of the proposal, ports, electricity, data networks, and energy pipes are proposed to be developed along a modern-day spice route.
On the fringes of the G20 leaders’ summit, the proposal was unveiled. As a counterbalance to China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), it is anticipated to have some impact.
