In the next four to five days, the sub-Himalayan regions of West Bengal, Sikkim, and the northeastern states are expected to see strongly severe rain, according to the Meteorological Department’s prediction. In the Malshej Ghat area of Thane district, Maharashtra, an auto rickshaw was caught in a landslide that took the lives of two persons. There are three injured parties. In the state this month, rain-related accidents took the lives of 14 people. 11 of these died as a result of lightning.
