Amit Shah’s observation regarding Jawaharlal Nehru, according to Ravi Shankar Prasad, is a historical truth.
New Delhi – In response to Rahul Gandhi’s attack on Amit Shah for his remarks on Jawaharlal Nehru, the Bharatiya Janata Party highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s role in integrating the erstwhile princely states with the Union of India after Independence on Wednesday. According to BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, there have been no troubles in the princely states handled by India’s first home minister, but there have been numerous challenges in the one state (Jammu and Kashmir) handled by Nehru, the country’s first prime minister.
“What motivated the creation of Article 370?” It was only temporary. “Congress members were opposed,” Prasad claimed.
He stated that Shah’s remark on Nehru was a historical fact.
“There were 550 princely states; Sardar Patel handled them; there was no problem there.” One was handled by Nehru… and it remains an issue to this day. “The majority of issues were resolved in 2019,” he continued.
Prasad alleged Rahul Gandhi hid the truth.
“Amit Shah is well-versed in history.” A lot has been spoken about your knowledge all around the country. “I’m not going to say anything about it,” he continued.
Rahul Gandhi, according to BJP leader Giriraj Singh, has little grasp of history.
“I think he has read Mountbatten and Romila Thapar’s history,” he joked.
Gandhi stated on Tuesday that Shah was unaware of history and had a “habit of rewriting it.”
“Pandit Nehru gave his life for India; he was imprisoned for many years.” Amit Shah is oblivious to history. “I can’t expect him to know history because he has a habit of rewriting it,” Gandhi added.
He argued that the BJP utilizes Nehru’s name to divert attention away from real challenges.
“They flee from this, they do not want to talk about this. We’ll pursue this matter further and see to it that the underprivileged receive what is just. The question remains as to what proportion of OBCs are in the structure, given that our Chief Minister in Chhattisgarh is also an OBC and that they too announced an OBC CM. Even though PM Modi is an OBC, only three of the ninety-nine members in the administration actually come from the OBC community, and those three have offices tucked away in a corner. My inquiry relates to OBCs, Dalits, and tribal members’ involvement in the system of institutions. To divert our attention from this problem, they bring up Jawaharlal Nehru and other people,” he remarked.
The Home Minister stated that Nehru had “accepted his mistake” about the truce during the 1948 conflict with Pakistan and about pushing the Kashmir issue to the UN in a Tuesday speech to the Rajya Sabha.
