President Droupadi Murmu<\/strong> arrived in Bareilly on Monday to attend the 11th convocation ceremony<\/strong> of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI)<\/strong>. Her aircraft landed at the Trishul Airbase<\/strong> at approximately 9:50 AM<\/strong>, where she was warmly received by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel<\/strong> and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-Level Dignitaries in Attendance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the President, other dignitaries present included Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar<\/strong>, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan<\/strong>, and Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Honours Top Students<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Braving rain, the President proceeded directly from the airbase to Swami Vivekananda Auditorium<\/strong> within the IVRI campus. During the ceremony, President Murmu personally awarded certificates and gold medals to eight top-performing students<\/strong> from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Notable awardees included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    576 Degrees Conferred<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    A total of 576 degrees<\/strong> were awarded during the convocation ceremony, comprising:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • 41 students<\/strong> from the BVSc & AH program<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 328 students<\/strong> from the MVSc program<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 207 doctoral degrees (PhD)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Students were instructed to adhere to a dress code, with male students wearing white kurta-pajama and female students donning white sarees with red borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Elaborate Security Arrangements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      In view of the President\u2019s visit, the district administration implemented stringent security measures. Four “safe houses”<\/strong> were established at two private medical colleges, the district hospital, and within the IVRI campus to respond to any medical emergencies. Two ALS ambulances were part of the President\u2019s convoy, and all healthcare staff were placed on high alert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Road Diversions and Traffic Restrictions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Traffic advisories were issued for the public, with road diversions in effect from 4 AM to 4 PM<\/strong>. Entry of both light and heavy vehicles was restricted on multiple routes leading to and from the IVRI campus. Barricades were set up on both sides of the road from the airbase to the event venue, and intersections along the route were decorated with flowers to welcome the dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Massive Police Deployment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      A force of over 1,200 police personnel<\/strong> was deployed to manage security, crowd control, and traffic. Key officials including ADG Security Raghuveer Lal<\/strong>, ADG Bareilly Zone Ramit Sharma<\/strong>, Commissioner Soumya Agarwal<\/strong>, DIG Ajay Sahni<\/strong>, DM Avinash Singh<\/strong>, and SSP Anurag Arya<\/strong> were involved in overseeing the arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • 4 Companies of PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The convocation ceremony proceeded smoothly under tight security and careful planning.
