After dealing with the initial setback, the market rose to a new all-time high. However, selling resumed in the market at higher levels. For the first time on Thursday, the Sensex exceeded 79000 points. Simultaneously, the Nifty approached 24000 for the first time. During the trading session, the Sensex set a new high of 79033.91.
