The results for 156 seats<\/strong> in the National Assembly have been revealed. According to the country’s electoral commission, candidates sponsored by Imran Khan’s Pakistan <\/strong>Tehreek-e-Insaf party have won 62 seats<\/strong>, while Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim <\/strong>League has gained 46 seats<\/strong>. The results of 110 more seats<\/strong> are still pending, and any party would require 169 seats<\/strong> to establish a government with majority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)<\/strong> stated that the delay in results was due to the government’s day-long mobile network shutdown during voting.
