The Department of Revenue and Customs had previously been asked to provide the deceased’s children with money in the form of a fixed deposit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said that it would pay \u20b915 lakh to the surviving relatives of a female traveler who suffered in a recent metro station tragedy. The woman’s children’s education would also be handled by the DMRC, according to their statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Delhi Municipal Rail Corporation stated in a public announcement that the deceased’s closest of relatives is eligible to get compensation of \u20b95 lakh under the Metro Railway (Procedure of Claims) Rules, 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A further ten lakh rupees will be donated as humanitarian assistance to the deceased’s children. Because the children are both minors, the Department of Revenue and Customs is right now carrying out the legal requirements of transferring the funds to the legal successor,” the DMRC stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deceased’s children had asked the Department of Revenue and Customs for monetary recompense in the form of a fixed deposit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier that day, at Inderlok Station, a 35-year-old woman died from her injuries after colliding with a Delhi Metro train. Reena, who had entered the train after a portion of her saree became stuck between the metro doors as they closed. She was pulled along to the platform after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the incident, Vicky, a relative of the woman, stated that she was on her way to Mohan Nagar from Nangloi in west Delhi when the tragedy occurred. “Her saree became trapped as she arrived at Inderlok Metro Station to change trains.
