Hyderabad, December 24, 2024 – Actor Allu Arjun has arrived at the Chikkadpally Police Station today to undergo questioning in connection with the stampede that occurred during the screening of his film Pushpa 2 at Sanjya Theater on December 4. The incident tragically resulted in the death of a woman and left her eight-year-old son severely injured.

The investigation is being overseen by ACP Ramesh Kumar and CI Raju, with Allu Arjun’s lawyer, Ashok Reddy, present during the questioning. Police had already deployed tight security around the actor’s residence in Jubilee Hills, which has been a focal point of attention after recent incidents.

On December 22, a group of individuals attacked Allu Arjun’s home, causing significant damage. The police arrested the six assailants, and on December 23, they were granted bail by the court, with their lawyer arguing that the accused were peacefully protesting outside the actor’s residence when police allegedly attacked them, leading to the subsequent damage.

In response to the tragedy at Sanjya Theater, the producers of Pushpa 2, including Naveen Yerneni, offered a compensation of 50 lakh INR to the family of the deceased. They also visited the hospital where the injured child is being treated.

In addition to this, Allu Arjun had previously spent one night in jail following his arrest related to the stampede incident, but he was granted bail the following morning. Today’s questioning is an important part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident during the film’s release.

The actor was seen leaving his residence with his wife Sneha, and before departing, he affectionately embraced his daughter. His father-in-law, Kancherla Chandrashekhar Reddy, also arrived at the actor’s home this morning.

While Allu Arjun continues to be under investigation, the security around his home remains heightened in light of the recent events. Police are actively probing all aspects of the stampede case to ensure justice for the victims.

Stay tuned for further updates.
