At the opening event, Kishore revealed that the party has been functioning for two years and was just approved by the Election Commission of India.
Prashant Kishor, a poll strategist turned politician, officially inaugurated his own political party, the “Jan Suraaj Party,” on Wednesday in Patna. At the opening event, Kishore revealed that the party has been functioning for two years and was just approved by the Election Commission of India.
With the Election Commission’s approval, the Jan Suraaj Party is now scheduled to compete in all constituencies in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Saying that the Jan Suraaj Party is a “amalgamation of both RSS and minorities,” Kishor took a subtle jab at the Opposition for raising concerns about his party’s purported links to the BJP.
Addressing the audience, Prashant Kishor advocated for a major revamp of Bihar’s education system, saying that Rs 5 lakh crore will be necessary over the next decade to achieve world-class standards.\
Speaking about the state’s liquor ban, Kishor said that the revenue lost each year—roughly Rs 20,000 crore—could instead be allocated toward educational reform.
“When the liquor embargo is lifted, the money will not be used to fund roads, water, electricity, or leaders’ security. “It will only be used to build a new education system in Bihar,” he stated, emphasizing the need of investing in the state’s future.
