Maharashtra Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) raided an illegal telephone exchange in Pune. On Thursday, ATS officials said Naushad Ahmed Siddiqui (32) was operating an illegal telephone exchange in the city’s Kondhwa neighborhood. Seven SIM boxes, 3,788 SIM cards, nine WiFi routers, antennas, inverters, and laptop computers were confiscated from the location. The accused caused the Department of Telecommunications to lose income by operating an unauthorized telephone exchange. They further thought that this trade was utilized to conduct terrorist operations. The official stated that an infraction has been registered under the relevant parts of the Indian Judicial Code, Indian Telegraph Act, Telecommunication Act, and Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act.
Shiv Sena leader Mhatre’s pre-arrest bail petition was refused.
On Thursday, a Thane district court denied Shiv Sena leader Vaman Mhatre’s pre-arrest bail petition. Mhatre has been charged by the police for allegedly misbehaving with a female journalist. The alleged assault occurred last week while the reporter was covering a demonstration against sexual harassment of two minor girls at a school in Thane district’s Badlapur town. According to the journalist, Mhatre made unpleasant statements to her, prompting her to file a police complaint. However, Mhatre has disputed the charges made by the journalist.

Thane couple leaps into creek; lady rescued.

Police in Maharashtra’s Raigad district arrested a contractor on Thursday for allegedly doing poor work on the Mumbai-Goa national highway’s 26.7-kilometer stretch between Indapur and Wadpale. Chetak Enterprises Ltd Managing Director Hukmichand Jain, General Manager Awadhesh Kumar Singh, and Project Coordinator Engineer Sujit Kavle, among others, have been charged with culpable homicide by the police. Raigad Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge stated that Kavle has been arrested in the case. He said that at least 97 people had been killed and 208 injured in 170 incidents on this stretch of the Mumbai-Goa highway since 2020.
FIR filed against 122 individuals following incident between UBT and BJP members.
Police in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district have filed a FIR against 122 Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members in connection with the fight at Rajkot Fort during Aditya Thackeray’s visit. An official confirmed on Thursday that the FIR includes the names of 42 people identified from CCTV footage. He stated that the remaining 80 accused have not yet been identified, and that the police are meticulously reviewing the tape to identify each individual and determine his role in the incident. He stated that a case of rioting and violation of prohibitory orders was filed late Wednesday night on the complaint of a police officer who was hurt by stone pelting during the confrontation. As of yet, no arrests have been made in the case.
The suspect who killed a toddler in Mumbai was taken into custody from Delhi.

Congress has ousted two MLAs, Zeeshan Siddiqui and Jitesh Antapurkar. Seven Congress MLAs are believed to have cross-voted in the biennial elections for 11 Assembly seats. Both MLAs were involved in this. Shiv Sena MLA attacks RTO officer; audio goes viral.
An audio recording of Shiv Sena MLA Santosh Bangar in Maharashtra allegedly harassing a Regional Transport Office (RTO) officer on the phone went viral. Bangar represents the Kalamnuri constituency in the Hingoli district. He was reprimanding the cop for stopping a farmer’s vehicle in Pusad. In the tape, the MLA says, “Do not stop the vehicles of poor people.” You stop the poor’s vehicles, but not those that break the regulations. I do not need to be taught how the RTO works. The automobile should be left. It won’t take me long to go to Pusad. Aside from that, the MLA used several nasty remarks.
