A water tank built as part of the Gangajal project broke. After being buried beneath the rubble, two persons perished. Over 10 people have been hurt. There’s a lot of people who might be buried under the rubble. When DM-SSP arrived, they started collecting data.
At about six o’clock on Sunday evening, a 2.5 lakh litre water tank in the Krishna Vihar Colony park in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, which is close to BSA Engineering College, fell. In the accident, over ten people were hurt, and two ladies died. There are probably a lot of other persons trapped under the rubble. into the scene, rescue operations continued until late into night.
It has been disclosed that this tank, which was constructed two years ago as part of the Gangajal project, fell as a result of leaks weakening the pillars. DM-SSP got to the location. CM asked that the incident report be sent in. A high-level committee will look into the directive, according to DM. Strict action will be taken, and those guilty will face legal penalties.
The writ was heard by the Supreme Court. Action was requested from the officials. The governing bodies did not listen, even after this. About a year ago, according to former councilors Rajesh Singh Pintu and Hemant Agarwal, the Jal Nigam took control of this overhead tank.
This tank’s water supply has begun to leak and hasn’t been tuned on properly.
