Naxalites killed two Cobra jawans in an IED explosion close to Silger and Tekulgudam, which is on the boundary with Sukma and Bijapur. The jawans’ bodies are being taken from the scene.
Security forces in Chhattisgarh keep up their fight against the Naxalites. It has come to light that the soldiers’ actions have incensed the Naxalites. Naxalites detonated an IED at Silger and Tekulgudam, which is located on the boundary between Sukma and Bijapur, killing two Cobra soldiers. The troops’ lifeless bodies are being taken from the area. The soldiers’ truck suffered damage to an IED blast by the Naxalites. Kiran Chavan, Sukma SP, has verified the case. Here, more force has been sent to the location in response to the Naxalite attack report. The area is experiencing an increase in the search effort.
On Sunday, while ROP duty, the advance party of Cobra 201 Battalion moved by truck and motorcycle from the Silger Camp of the Jagargunda police station area towards Camp Tekulgudem. The Naxalites planned to harm the security forces, consequently they planted IEDs along the route to Silger and Tekulgudem. Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, during the movement, an IED instantly killed the driver and co-driver of the Cobra 201 battalion vehicle. Vishnu R and Shailendra are reportedly among the soldiers. Every other soldier is secure. The troops’ bodies are being taken from the location.
