The Canadian Parliament held a moment of silence in honor of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The spokesperson for India’s Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaiswal, declared, “We oppose any move that gives space to terrorism in politics.”
Even though India has asked Canada to cease, Canada is continuing its operations. In reality, the Canadian government is making no attempt to court extremists from Khalistani. Hardeep Singh Nijjar has links to the most recent case. In remembrance of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Canadian Parliament carried out a moment of silence. India responded to Canada in the same manner. The spokesperson for the Indian Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaiswal, criticized the Nijjar memorial moment of silence. Jaiswal stated, “We oppose any step that gives place to terrorism in politics.”
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Randhir Jaiswal commented on Khalistani terrorism, saying, “We have consistently stressed that Khalistani actions are a matter of serious concern for us. We are in constant contact with the Canadian authorities to initiate action.” According to Jaiswal, radicals in Canada have been given political exemption. People like this should be dealt with harshly.
Acting on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaiswal stated that a seven-person US delegation traveled to India from June 16 to June 20. On June 18 and 19, the delegation went to Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. According to Jaiswal, the US special mission also had talks with the ministers of commerce and industry, external affairs, and prime minister Narendra Modi. “I would like to reiterate India’s position on Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama,” Randhir Jaiswal continued. He is a well-respected religious figure, and the Indian public holds him in high regard. He has a certain amount of freedom to follow his spiritual and religious pursuits.
