Suspicious luggage, military clothing, and cartridges were discovered in Samba.
Following the presence of terrorists in Saida Sohal, Tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua, Jammu division, police, army, and security personnel have been placed on alert due to reports of suspicious people being observed in numerous locations of Samba district. On Tuesday, soldiers in an army QRT truck discovered a suspicious bag outside the town’s Veer Bhoomi Park gate. The police were notified of this. The bag contained an army outfit, a T-shirt, a pajama, and an SLR cartridge. The police have taken it into their possession.
On the other side, there is widespread worry following this recovery. People speculate that this is the terrorists’ bag. At the same time, no top police officers have corroborated the report. It is worth noting that in 2008, half a dozen terrorists penetrated by cutting the barrier along the Indo-Pak border.
The next day, three terrorists opened fire at the home of local social worker Hoshiyar Singh, killing a couple and injuring two others. The terrorists then moved towards this location.
They later traveled to Kali Mandi and kidnapped a family. After much monitoring, the army, police, and security personnel freed the captives and executed the terrorists. During this time, a woman died and two others, including an army major, were injured. The locals are now concerned that terrorists would take use of this path again. However, the police have merely stated that nothing like this has been discovered.
