The departments were eventually divided 24 hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Council of Ministers took office in. Only BJP ministers have been given authority over major ministries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held the first cabinet meeting of the new administration on Monday night. Following this, the departments’ separation was declared. Let’s start by addressing the ministers who are a part of the Union Cabinet’s Security Committee, or CCS. It consists of the Home, Defense, Finance, and Foreign ministries. These have not been altered in any way. That is to say, S. Jaishankar continues to serve as Foreign Minister, Amit Shah as Home Minister, Rajnath Singh as Defense Minister, and Nirmala Sitharaman as Finance Minister. Tell us who has been given what authority in the Council of Ministers this time around.

Nitin Gadkari ranks as the fifth most senior minister, behind CCS members Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar. Nor have his obligations been altered. For the third time in his career, he has been named Minister of Road Transport and Highways. It had been reported that the Road Transport Ministry is something the TDP, the largest party in the NDA with 16 MPs, desires. Gadkari’s duties have been kept, however. Gadkari has become the only senior minister in the Prime Minister’s team whose responsibilities have not changed since 2014.

This time, four more ministers were added to the list of the top 10, arranged by seniority, after Prime Minister Modi. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, is the first of them. He became Minister of Rural Development, Farmer Welfare, and Agriculture. JP Nadda, the president of the BJP and now a cabinet minister, will be in charge of the Health Ministry at the same time. Manohar Lal Khattar, the former chief minister of Haryana, will lead key departments like housing and energy. The only non-BJP member in the top 10 ministers is HD Kumaraswamy. He has been assigned the Ministry of Steel and Heavy Industries’ duties. Piyush Goyal, who was sworn in as number ten, will remain the Minister

The position of Railway Minister has been retained by Ashwini Vaishnav. Ministers of State for Railways V. Somanna and Ravneet Singh Bittu have been appointed. After losing the Punjabi election in Ludhiana, Ravneet Singh was appointed as a minister. He is Beant Singh’s grandson, the former chief minister of Punjab.
