According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, severe weather with heavy rains and winds blowing between 40 and 50 kmph is expected to continue in Nagaon, Hojai, West Karbi Anglong, Golaghat, Dima Hasao, Cachar, Hailakandi, and Karimganj. He stated that the storm in eastern Bangladesh is predicted to lessen by tonight and is now moving at a speed of 15 kmph toward the east-northeast.
Mintu Talukdar, a 19-year-old resident of Satgaon, Kamrup district, passed away in Navjyoti Nagar. His father got hurt when a tree fell on his house. In the district, a 60-year-old woman named Labanya Kumari was hurt when a tree fell on her. Later, at Guwahati Medical College, she passed away.
