Heavy rains on the outskirts of Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, caused a mine to collapse. This accident claimed the lives of seven persons. Officials are working rescue missions. The level of waterways has also risen as a result of the intense rains. The residents on the riverbanks are required to leave their houses and find safe havens.
