The Saini government’s problems in Haryana are only going to get worse. For the minority government, reaching the majority figure has grown to be an important one. Rakesh Daulatabad, an independent MLA, backed the BJP administration, which is stuck in a numerical deadlock.

On Saturday, Haryana’s independent MLA for the Badshah assembly constituency, Rakesh Daulatabad, passed away from a heart attack. PM Narendra Modi is one of the several state leaders who expressed grief for his passing. Simultaneously, the loss of Daulatabad has dealt a severe blow to the BJP. The Nayab Singh Saini government, which is already in minority, is facing major obstacles in reaching the majority figure with the passing of the independent MLA.

He was in favour of the BJP government, which was mired in the majority. There are currently 87 members out of the 90 assembly seats with the demise of Daulatabad. This means that the majority figure would need 44. The ruling BJP has forty MLAs of its own. Furthermore, Halopa member and independent MLA Nayanpal Rawat of Prithla supports the BJP. Following the addition of these MLAs, the BJP now has 42 members. They will require the support of two more MLAs in order to have a majority in such a case.

Independent MLAs backed the BJP government, but recently, Dharambir Gondar, Somvir Sangwan, and Randhir Golan dropped their support, placing the Saini government in danger. Prior to this, the BJP management had also been split away by the JJP, which had ten MLAs. On the other hand, the BJP has insisted that its figure is the majority. As a matter of fact, there are JJP MLAs who keep covert interactions with top BJP leaders.

However, the Governor has not yet replied to a letter that Congress MLAs wrote requesting the ouster of the BJP government due to its lack of a majority. Leaders in Congress had also declared at the same time that they had no desire to set up a government. In fact, November 3 is when the Saini government of Haryana will come to an end. As a result, it has been suggested that Haryana hold assembly elections in October. Congressmen have stated that they are currently occupied with the Lok Sabha elections. As a result, there wasn’t much chance for discussion on this topic. All the leaders will talk about this and take this into account in a day or two.
