In the Shahdara district’s Vivek Vihar, a children’s hospital had a fire. The accident took the lives of seven infants. 12 kids were taken out of the hospital. In this accident, five more newborn babies are fighting for their lives.

Late on Saturday night, a large fire started in the New Born Baby Care Hospital in Vivek Vihar, Shahdara. This accident took the lives of seven newborns. Another hospital is treating five children. Twelve infants were taken out of the hospital alive. Six of those children passed away while getting care. whilst one has already passed away. According to reports, an oxygen cylinder explosion caused the hospital fire to start.

There was a disruption as soon as the baby care center took fire. Among the commotion, people rushed to assist. The upper storey was soon consumed by the fire. Along with the police and fire department, the adjacent neighbors broke the windows at the back of the building and managed to take away the newborns one by one.
One by one, the youngsters were saved by the fire brigade team as they tried to contain the flames. Twelve newborn babies were reportedly saved from the building, according to officials. Six of them passed died while receiving hospital care. A young person was found dead upon rescue. There are five in the hospital receiving treatment. One of them is still in serious condition.

A fire was reported in an infant care center on Saturday night at approximately 11:32 p.m. in the Shahdara area of Delhi, specifically in IIT Block B, Vivek Vihar. 16 fire trucks arrived at the scene as soon as word got out. The child care center was full by staff members and youngsters, according to the fire department.

In short order, the fire took on a horrifying form. When the fire brigade workers arrived, they started rescuing the employees and infants who were still in the building. By late night, everyone had been saved. One baby was found deceased. The hospital admitted the newborn infants. Six infants passed away while receiving care.
According to Atul Garg, director of the fire department, the three-story building, including the ground floor, was completely destroyed by fire. Furthermore totally burned was a van that was parked outside the building. Firefighters started putting out the fire right away amid the chaos that was occurring there.

In this case, Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Health Secretary Deepak Kumar got instructions from Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj. He has given directives to expedite the arrest of those in charge of this center, ensure that the rescued children receive free treatment in the best private hospitals (under the Farishte Yojana), conduct an immediate inquiry into the incident and provide the names and designations of the officers or private individuals responsible for this negligence.
