Veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah recently talked openly about going a year without a job while she attended the screening of the restored version of Shyam Benegal’s film Manthan. According to the actress, actors’ looks are given too much attention these days rather than their creativity. Ratna also thinks that the size of an artist’s social media fan network affects their ability to discover jobs. Ratna claimed in an interview that she felt as though her absence of Instagram presence stopped her from finding employment for a full year.
“I don’t know how to blame the actors for this,” the actress remarked. Given that they are inquiries. The world is centered on this. How many Instagram followers you have affects what kind of work you receive. This is what I’ve been told. I’m not on Instagram, therefore no one has asked me. I may not have been recruited as a result of this.”

Speaking about work, the actress’s latest film role was in the movie “Dhak Dhak,” which also featured Dia Mirza, Sanjana Sanghi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in prominent parts.
