An Infosys Limited petition was dismissed by the Madras High Court. The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation’s (TANGEDCO) order was challenged in the petition. Infosys Ltd. was ordered by Tangedco to pay over Rs. 6 crore.

Judge GK Ilanthirayan dismissed the petition that Infosys Limited had filed. Also, the petition asked that Tangedco be told to only collect industrial charges. We would like to inform you that Infosys has been directed by Tangedco to pay Rs 6,72,95,384.

Judge GK Ilanthirayan stated at the court hearing that particulars were made public when reviewing the agreement between Infosys Limited and Tangedco. It came out that the petitioner was not getting any rent for the given premises. Water and electricity bills were also overdue. The court further noted that the petitioner received license fees from its service providers even though it did not pay rent, power, or water bills.
