In Uttarakhand, forest fire events are ongoing. Three cases against unidentified individuals have been filed by the forest department.
On Monday, there were 23 forest fire incidents throughout the state. There is one wildlife area and 22 Garhwal incidents. There was not a single occurring in Kumaon. Three unidentified occurrences of forest fires have been reported to the Forest Department.
Forest fire incidences have risen in conjunction with the increasing temperatures. There were two forest fire incidents in the Rudraprayag Forest Division and one in the Kedarnath Wildlife Forest Panchayat area on Monday. There were additionally 2 in the Narendranagar Forest Division, 2 in the Civil Forest Panchayat area, 8 in the Mussoorie Forest Division, 4 in the Civil Forest Panchayat area, 2 in the Land Conservation Kalsi Forest Division, and one in the Land Conservation Lansdowne Forest Division.
As a result, there are now 1121 forest fire instances throughout the state. This has an impact on nearly 1520 hectares of forest area. Three unidentified incidences of forest fires have been reported, according to Additional Chief Forest Conservator Nishant Verma. As a result, there are now 425 forest fire instances.
