Dead flamingos were apparently found in multiple places throughout Mumbai. Following reports from the locals, the Forest Department and other teams arrived at the location and took control of the missing flamingo.
After being struck by an Emirates aircraft in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, at least 36 flamingos died. The plane also suffered damage at the same moment. The event came to the attention of a wildlife welfare group member on Tuesday.
According to Pawan Sharma, the honorary wildlife warden for the forest department and founder of the “Racking Association for Wildlife Welfare” (RAWW), several people have been calling about seeing dead birds in different places in Ghatkopar. According to him, a post-mortem will be carried out on the deceased birds to figure out their actual cause of death.
An Emirates jet destined for Mumbai collided with 36 flamingos, killing them. On Monday evening, this event is being reported. Several deceased flamingos were discovered in the Ghatkopar area following this incident. This impact also caused substantial harm to the aircraft. But the plane made a safe landing at the airport. As of the now, every passenger is reportedly safe. The deceased flamingo birds have been obtained by forest officials and animal activists.
