The majority of tourists to Baba Vishwanath’s shrine are Americans. Russia ranks third, and Italy is placed second. From beyond the seven seas, global visitors to Kashi are attracted by their curiosity about religion, spirituality, and culture.
At Kashi Vishwanath Dham, devotees are traveling from all over the country as well as the seven seas to worship Baba Vishwanath. Based on studies covering six years, Americans make up a majority of foreign devotees who come to see Baba.
Second place goes to Italy, third place belongs to Russia, fourth place belongs to Malaysia, and fifth place comes to Spain. Based on data released by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, the highest proportion of 10.20 percent of American devotees attended Kashi Vishwanath Dham between 2019 and March 31, 2024.
Following this, the percentage of devotees from Italy is 9.78%, the percentage from Russia is 9.62%, the percentage from Malaysia is 7.64%, and the percentage from Spain is 7.18%, placing them in fifth place.
France represented 6.86 percent of the total number of adherents, followed by the Netherlands with 5.07 percent, Japan at 4.17 percent, and Britain on 4.02 percent. In addition to these, devotees traveled to Kashi Vishwanath Dham from 139 different nations, including Australia, Brazil, Bangladesh, and Belgium.

In 2023, the greatest percentage of American devotees—10.82 percent—arrived to Baba’s Dham. Subsequently, followers from Italy, ranking second with 10.54 percent, Russia, ranking third with 8.63 percent, Spain, ranking fourth with 8.15 percent, and France, ranking fifth with 6.76 percent, all made it to Baba’s Dham. In addition, devotees came to Baba’s Dham from a variety of nations, including the Netherlands, Japan, Britain, and Canada.
