The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that hot winds would blow in various districts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh between May 17 and May 21.
Many sections of the country are currently experiencing extreme heat. On Thursday, the capital city of Delhi had its hottest day of the season. The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi on Thursday was 42.5 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees higher than typical. In Sirsa, Haryana, the maximum temperature was 47 degrees Celsius. On Friday, the maximum temperature may reach 44 degrees Celsius in various parts of the country. The highest temperature is forecast to be 45 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
Life stopped by too much heat :
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures ranged from 43 to 46 degrees Celsius across the country on Thursday. Temperatures exceeded 43 degrees Celsius in many parts of Rajasthan, Southern Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. This is 2-4 degrees Celsius above the typical temperature. The Meteorological Department (IMD) announced on Thursday that the heat wave will begin in eastern and central India on May 18. The department has issued an orange alert for Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Delhi. It focuses on health concerns for children, the elderly, and those suffering from chronic diseases. According to the warning, persons who spend a lot of time in the sun or do a lot of labor are more likely to develop heat-related disorders.
The heat wave will continue in these places for the next five days.

The Meteorological Department reports that between May 17 and 21, there may be significant rainfall in several parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Kerala is also anticipating a lot of rain on May 20. In actuality, the impact of the cyclonic storm on Tamil Nadu’s southern coast will cause this rain. In addition to rain, winds with velocities between 40 and 50 km/h are also possible. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, and Kerala are also predicted to get significant rainfall. The Andaman Sea is being invaded by the Southwest Monsoon, which is expected to arrive in Kerala shortly.

Prolonged exposure to sunlight can also produce dizziness and fainting. There may also be symptoms such as weakness, headache, or vomiting. This is why people are recommended to stay at home in the afternoon.
