Lok Sabha elections: Union Home Minister Amit Shah charged that the RJD and Congress were engaging in appeasement politics.
On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal, accusing both INDIA coalition parties of appeasement.
“For 75 years, the Congress and the RJD have stopped and blocked the construction of the Ram temple. You made Modi ji Prime Minister for the second time. He not only won the lawsuit, but also did the bhumi pujan and installed Ram Lalla at the temple on January 22,” the minister said at a rally in Gaya, Bihar.
“They (Congress and RJD) are indulging in appeasement politics, which is why they are protesting the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir,” Shah told a gathering in Gaya, Bihar.
“Congress should be ashamed. How many times will you break the nation? You partitioned the country in 1947. However, Modi ji now governs the country. “We will not let anyone break India,” Shah declared.
Continuing his attacks, Shah accused the Congress of inciting a ‘north-south rift’ to divide India.
“The Congress party is dividing the country along a north-south axis, which the NDA-led Central government and the people will not tolerate. “Their leader Rahul Gandhi is keeping a stoic silence on this,” the minister remarked.
“People in this country have now decided to ensure the NDA gets more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha and to respond appropriately to such divisive forces,” he continued.
The minister encouraged people to elect NDA candidates in all 40 seats in Bihar. “In 2014, the people of Bihar gave us (the BJP-led NDA) 31 out of 40 seats. In 2019, they handed us 39 of the 40 seats. This time, I ask that you assist the NDA win all 40 seats,” he stated.
Bihar will hold elections for 40 Lok Sabha seats in all seven phases. Vote counting will take held on June 4.
