Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa boasts a star-studded cast that has been increased. Akshay Kumar is the most recent addition to the cast.

The Kannappa cast, which stars Mukesh Kumar Singh as Vishnu Manchu, is getting bigger. The most recent actor to be cast in the mythological fantasy drama about the titular devotee of Lord Shiva is actor Akshay Kumar. In the movie, he will make his Tollywood debut.

Ramesh Bala, an industry watcher, announced on X that Akshay had been recruited. He posted, “Bollywood Superstar @akshaykumar has joined the cast of Prestigious Pan-India Biggie – Actor @iVishnuManchu’s Big Budget Movie #Kannappa.” After #Prabhas, @Mohanlal, @PDdancing, and @realsarathkumar, @akshaykumar is another impressive addition to the film’s cast.Stay tuned for more exciting updates (sic).

Akshay appeared in a bi-lingual film called Ashaant in 1993, which was released in Kannada as Vishnu Vijaya. This is his first South Indian film. Years later, he made his Tamil debut in Shankar’s 2018 film 2.0, which stars Rajinikanth. Kannappa will be his third South Indian production.

Kannappa’s Star Cast

Kannappa’s cast includes prominent stars from a variety of businesses. Aside from Vishnu and his father, actor Mohan Babu, the film features Prabhas, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Madhoo, Sarathkumar, Prabhu Deva, Brahmanandam, Mukesh Rishi, Kaushal Manda, and others. Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma will compose the film’s music, while Sheldon Chau will shoot the cinematography and Anthony will edit.

About Kannappa

Kannappa is Vishnu’s dream project, and Mohan is producing it through AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. He penned the screenplay for the film, which was based on a story created by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Eshwar Reddy, G Nageswara Reddy, and Thota Prasad. The film was shot in Telugu and will be dubbed into other South Indian languages and Hindi.

While Kajal Aggarwal and later Nupur Sanon were initially cast as the female leads, they both declined for various reasons, and Preity Mukhundhan was cast instead. So far, the film has been shot in both New Zealand and Hyderabad.
