Pakistan Elections 2024: Outcome for 156 National Assembly Seats.

Pakistan Elections 2024: Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s former prime minister, proclaimed victory in national elections, claiming that his party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was recognized as the largest in the results.

The PML-N supremo pointed out that Pakistan must take significant efforts to overcome its current issue, in which all institutions must play a positive role, without announcing how many seats his party had won, as counting was still advancing in 265 seats that went to the polls.

Nawaz Sharif mentioned his deputies will engage with other political parties to discuss developing a coalition government.

“We don’t have enough of a majority to form a government without the support of others and we invite allies to join the coalition so we can make joint efforts to pull Pakistan out of its problems,” the prime minister added.

This comes after his party’s senior leader stated that they will hold discussions with rival Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s group to build a coalition in Pakistan. Ishaq Dar, Nawaz Sharif’s close adviser, made the statements on Samaa TV, a local television program.

The PML-N is “in a position” to put together a government and will win nearly 90 of the 265 seats up for grabs, he predicted.

Pakistan Elections 2024: What are the results so far?
The results for 156 seats in the National Assembly have been revealed. According to the country’s electoral commission, candidates sponsored by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party have won 62 seats, while Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League has gained 46 seats. The results of 110 more seats are still pending, and any party would require 169 seats to establish a government with majority.

When will every one of the results of the Pakistan elections 2024 be announced?
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) stated that the delay in results was due to the government’s day-long mobile network shutdown during voting. The delayed procedure led Imran Khan’s party to allege that ballots were tampered with in order to assure Nawaz Sharif’s victory in the election.
