The Mumbai Police Umang event, held in December last year, had everyone from Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan grooving on stage. The event will now be broadcast on television, and a new promotional video demonstrates that it was an exciting occasion. The promo includes Shah Rukh and Salman’s stage performances, as well as Salman’s joke regarding the Mumbai Police.
Sony TV posted a trailer on Instagram with the tagline, “Stage par jab aaye Pathaan aur Bhaijaan, jhoom uthenge saare jawaan (All the Jawans will rejoice when Pathaan and Bhaijaan come on stage)!”

In the Umang teaser, Shah Rukh mouths some of his famed Pathaan lines while dancing to the film’s title track with the background dancers on stage. He looked dapper in a dark suit and danced with full passion, despite his formal attire. He’s also seen dancing to the Jawan song Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Pathaan and Jawan were two of his biggest hits last year.

Salman jokes about the Mumbai Police.
Salman Khan takes the stage with comedians Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa, who are also the evening’s hosts. When Salman asked where the other police officers were, they were informed, “Aadhe Salman sir ke saath rahte hain (half of them are with Salman Khan),” Harsh informed Salman that they could see very few police officers at the event. Salman faced death threats last year, and it appears that he made a statement regarding the actor’s security cover.
When asked about the Mumbai police, Salman laughed and remarked, “Har report chali jati hai waha pe.” (They find out about all of my actions. Today, they talked to me quite sweetly about this and that (and how they got a little too drunk today).”
He was accompanied by a few police officers as he danced to his popular song Jalwa from the film Wanted. He, too, wore a suit and performed in the same style. Salman last appeared in Tiger 3. The film, starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, was released on Diwali last year.
